Hello my name is Zac Dimock. I am 19 years old and I am currently enrolled in the Digital Media Certificate Program at Camosun College. I am one of 3 siblings in my family. I have one younger brother and one younger sister. I graduated from Claremont Secondary in 2012 and came to Camosun in September 2012. I have lived in Victoria my whole life and I am actually the 6th generation of my family to be born and raised in Victoria. I started playing ice skating when I was 3 years old and started playing hockey at age 5. I played for the next 13 years until I was 18 and then decided I just was not enjoying it as much. I many great accomplishments while playing. For example, when I was 11 years old, my team went to Quebec for the International Peewee Tournament. We did not do as well as we hoped but all in all it was a great experience. I still really enjoy watching and talking about hockey and I may even get back into the sport. In the summer of 2009 I signed up for the Evans Caddy Scholarship at Victoria Golf Club. For the summers of 2009,2010, and 2011 I caddied for the members of the golf course. This was my first real job where I actually got paid for my work. Each year, the golf club would pick one caddy that was in grade 12 that would win the scholarship. The winner was chosen based on how well they were reviewed by their golfer after every round. I decided to drop out of the scholarship because it was only good for 2 colleges and they are both located in the U.S and I was just not ready to leave Victoria quite yet. Also during those 3 years I caddied at the Times Colonist Open at Uplands Golf Club. The tournament was for the Golf Canada. I would caddy for professional golfers and it was a good way to earn some money. In the summer of 2011, I got a job as a dishwasher at The Keg downtown. I have been working there for almost 3 years and now I work as a bus boy there. I enrolled in the Digital Media Program because I really enjoy working with technology and applying my skills by making and editing videos and pictures. I hope to carry on in this program and some day obtain a job in this field.
